Q. From which material the bin made?
A. It's made from Canadian Spruce - from certified sustanable business - Abitibi Consolidated.
Q. Will it rot fast?
A. This kind of wood is naturally protected from rot. It is usually used in construction industry.
Q. What is the average life of the bin?
A. At least 5 years. I am planning to add a warranty page, but still working on it.
Q. Is this material harmfull for worms or compost or humans?
A. No. It's natural and non-harmful.
Q. Do I have to water-proof (paint, stain, etc) this bin?
A. I personnaly don't recommend to do this, since this removes all the advantages of wood as material.
But some people do.
Q. What is the difference with a plastic bin?
A. Sustanable, non-toxic, better for worms, better compost quality.
Q. How fast the item will arrive?
A.The bins are sent by Parcel Post weekly and usually arrive in 2 weeks maximum, depending on location.
Q. Insurence.
A. All the items are insured to full cost.
Q. Can you send the bin and worms together?
A. No. The worms are sent by faster mail service to insure their survival. It's better to order the bin,
and when it arrives to order the worms.
Q. Do you have a shipping discount?
A. Yes. On an order of 10 units and more.
Q. How can I get support?
A. Better fill the "Contact Us" form on the site. This way we could be more precise and clear.
Q. How to keep worms in winter (summer, rain season, termite season, etc...)?
A. The best is to keep it indoors. It has no odors and doesn't take much space.
Q. Which bin would you suggest for an appartment?
A. 3 Trays regular bin is the best.
