About Us

Wood Worm Farms started as an attempt to keep Canadian Nightcrawlers for long time without a refrigerator. Then we discovered that our bins fit much better for composting worms. Composting required several improvements to the bin structure and concept at all. This way stacking trays and flexible net between them appeared. The first bin was sold on eBay in 2004.

Our main direction is not to convince people to compost, but to make the composting convenient for everybody. We don't think that human technology is bad for the environment, it's simply not good enough yet. Our idea is to get to a technology level, that will enable to compost even those, who don't like worms. We search for a way to make home composting profitable and thus competitive. Our goal is to have every household keep a composter as one would have a dishwasher or a washing machine.
